About us
Shirley Klassen has owned, bred and trained Arabian horses since
1973.  A full time, professional horse trainer, Shirley operates

Robert Painchaud's first job as a young teenager was feeding
horses  and cleaning stalls before going to school.  His passion for
horses is just as great thirty-five years later.  His education with
horses started out as trial and error as with most folks but when he
started competing in barrel racing he realised that he needed
further education.  For 4 years Robert took lessons in a close
contact English saddle and learned to jump which strengthened his
seat.  He participated in numerous barrel racing clinics and bought
and sold several prospective barrel racing horses but the results
were still not what he hoped for.  Everything turned around in 1997
when Robert, the barrel horse racer met Shirley Klassen, the
pleasure horse trainer.  Shirley had never ridden a barrel horse, but
she'd ridden and judged reining, jumpers and equitation and she
had a lot to say about balancing and guiding the horse.  The rest is
history.

Since that time Robert has won a showcase full of silver
Championship belt buckles including twice winning the
Championship buckle at the prestigious Festival Equestre de
Valleyfield!
